National Win for Rob

Following his successful qualification for the finals of the HowdidIdo National Matchplay in Portugal, we are delighted to report that Rob won the overall event. The 4 finalists all played each other in a round robin to determine the seedings for the final matchplay sessions. In the semi final Rob won by 4 and 3 on the Faldo Course at Amendoeira. The final at the Millenium Course in Villamoura was a close run affair with Rob sqeezing home by 1 hole on the 18th against Richard Jezusek of Tankersley Golf Club ( 6 handicap ). The other 2 finalists were Malcolm Crowson from Willow Valley and Arun Ganatra of Whipsnade Park. The matches were played over some of the finest courses on the Algarve.
